i-LASER LINE for press brakes. Due to the success of the DIE’S LASER LINE introduced two years ago (with two series already manufactured), we decided to create the new i-LASER LINE to complete the range of LASER LINES and thus respond to other needs.
R&D WORK
The best market research is active listening to our customers, so some of them told us that they wanted a laser line that would help them with certain bends, but outside the bending area, so that the safety lasers on the press brakes would not interfere with bending.
The challenge was great, but we have the enormous advantage of having been manufacturing and selling the DIE’S LASER LINE for two years and all this accumulated knowledge makes us advance faster in the search for new solutions.
The purpose is the same as with the previous laser line. Our R&D had to create a system to align parts that have to be bent, especially with geometries that are difficult to work with the traditional back gauge. Obviously, it had to be useful for most press brakes, be very reliable and at a very competitive price. The task was not easy, but the METALMAQ team likes a challenge.
THE SOLUTION
The philosophy of the NEW i-LASER LINE was to have a smaller body, with a very practical adjustment and with several accessories to choose from, to allow optimal installation by customers in their press brakes. The NEW i-LASER LINE has the following features:
– 30mW power of the new laser (unlike the previous one which had 10mW) for a better visualisation of the laser line even in poor conditions (keep in mind that the laser line is a light, so its visualisation is better in dark places. If there is a lot of ambient light, the laser is less visible, so we have increased its power)
– The new i-LASER LINE includes a socket and a transformer to plug it into the mains, as it is more powerful and cannot be powered by batteries due to the short life they would have
The transformer can be supplied with a 220v EUROPEAN plug or there is also the option to buy it with a 120v USA plug
– Made of aluminium and anodised in dark green so that it can be easily distinguished in our ONLINE SHOP from the previous model (the DIE’S LASER LINE is also made of aluminium, but anodised in blue)
– It is provided with a switch for easy on/off use
Accessories for the i-LASER LINE
As previously mentioned, the philosophy of the i-LASER LINE was to be the best laser line on the market and to have various accessories so that the customer could choose the best solution for coupling it to their press brakes. Let’s take a look at the different accessories.
Adjustable Support Arm for the i-LASER LINE
This adjustable arm is recommended for press brakes that do not have a safety laser and has the following advantages:
– It is very easy to install.
– It is supplied with all hardware for perfect installation.
– It has a robust, height-adjustable body of 300 to 460 m/m
NOVA-ELECTRONICA Support for the i-LASER LINE
This support is recommended for press brakes that have a safety laser of the same name, so that it can be installed on the underside of the press brake, without interfering with the safety laser and giving the option of having a laser line to assist in the bending operation. The NOVA-ELECTRONICA support has the following advantages:
– It is very easy to install
– It is supplied with all hardware for perfect installation
– It does not interfere with the safety laser
AKAS Support for the i-LASER LINE
This support is recommended for press brakes that have a safety laser of the same name, so that it can be installed on the underside of the press brake, without interfering with the safety laser and giving the option of having a laser line to assist in the bending operation. The AKAS support has the following advantages:
– It is very easy to install
– It is supplied with all hardware for perfect installation
– It has a two-piece construction for easy installation in different configurations
– It does not interfere with the safety laser
