MANUAL TEMPLATE for a press brake is the new product recently introduced by METALMAQ to the sheet metal press brake accessories market.

Less than a year ago we launched the first MAGNETIC TEMPLATE on the market, and since then it has been a great success, due to its ease of use and great working flexibility.
As always, we try to take in market feedback and reactions from our customers. One customer made the comment that the magnets of the MAGNETIC TEMPLATE did not fit his multi-V die.
So our team started to think about a possible solution, then we moved on to the first prototypes and from there to a small pre-series for our customers to test. Seeing the result, the next step was to start the series and put it on the market. And that is how the world’s first MANUAL TEMPLATE was created!
This latest template has a built-in handle, which makes it very practical for securing to press brake dies. Therefore, we now have two versions of TEMPLATES, i.e. magnetic and manual, depending on our customers’ press brake dies and tastes.
THE ONLY MANUAL TEMPLATE ON THE MARKET
It is currently the only MANUAL TEMPLATE for press-brake on the market worldwide, and the following features stand out:
1. INCORPORATION OF A PRACTICAL HANDLE
A handle has been incorporated to secure the TEMPLATE to the press brake die, thus ensuring that the TEMPLATE is perfectly secured.
The template is designed to fit 60 m/m wide dies, but with a minor screw change its capacity is increased to a maximum die width of 80 m/m to which it can be secured.
This new template is left-handed, but as you can see in the demo video, with a minor screw change this lever can easily be mounted for right-handed use.
2. HIGH QUALITY WORKING PLATE
The MANUAL TEMPLATE is manufactured with an 8 m/m STAINLESS STEEL plate with a sandblasted finish. This combination imparts a high resistance to wear and very professional finish to the template.
The plate has dimensions of 120 x 120 m/m and comes with 12 M6 threaded holes.
3. ROUNDED FINISHES
The finish of the plate is rounded to avoid possible scratches during handling and to ensure safety in use.
4. ALLEN SCREWS INCLUDED
The MANUAL TEMPLATE is supplied with 4 M6 x 20 m/m Allen head screws, to be able to couple the patterns or negatives made by the user.
CONCLUSION
The conclusion is that with the new MANUAL TEMPLATE, as with its companion, the MAGNETIC TEMPLATE, it is possible to produce parts that would be difficult to bend in a press brake this easily.
The following pictures show two parts bent with this new tool. Just think how you would do it with a conventional back gauge.
